I founded National Bailiff Advice as a free online resource and legal know-how for anyone aggrieved by rogue bailiffs and non-compliant enforcement action, to claim redress, together with getting debts taken out of bailiff enforcement, and even getting them legally written off!
Debts include court fines, High Court writs, council tax and traffic debts.
All previous governments ruled out creating an official bailiff watchdog because the government and councils are the chief beneficiaries of bailiff action. This created the wild-west enforcement industry we see on the streets today, free to breach regulations and commit crime with impunity, afforded by police forces putting bailiffs in a class above the law.
National Bailiff Advice receives no public funding because it gives impartial help with non-compliant bailiff action that official debt advice services "charities" cannot provide, or forbidden from giving as a condition of receiving public funding.
Official debt charities are good at selling payment agreements and setting up debt-management plans, but they have no effect against bailiff action. This may be well intended, but they do not give the legal knowledge necessary to redress non-compliant enforcement.
National Bailiff Advice empowers you with the knowledge to deal with, and, most times write-off, any kind of bailiff-enforced debt, be it a court fine, high court writ, even council tax and parking tickets, making it a unique service.
Claiming bailiff redress through the court presents the most challenging cases for solicitors due to the propensity for the courts to prejudice debtors, even then the debt is not genuinely owed. This needs solicitors that specialise in bringing claims with the care and sensitivity needed to achieve a successful claim. Using our cumulative experience, we bring landmark cases and propose claims to the Bar Pro-Bono Unit for a solicitor willing to work on your case to enhance their own experience and success portfolios.
I also specialise in tax-efficient estate planning and family wealth retention, including will writing and drafting property and asset protection trusts for people with challenging needs including high-risk exposure to business failure, bankruptcy and disinheritance by predatory spouses.
